Bulgaria Beat Saudi Arabia in Soccer Friendly
Bulgaria won 2:0 a friendly football match against the team of Saudi Arabia played at Kemal Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul.

The Bulgarian team, in a different configuration from last week's game against Wales, started out confidently and pressured the Saudi Arabians.

The first goal came in the 39th minute by Dimitar Rangelov after an assistance from Ivelin Popov.

The second goal was scored by Valeri Domovchiyski at the very last minute of the first half.

The second half of the friendly match was played at a slowed-down tempo and neither team managed to score.

Nevertheless, the Bulgarian national team fulfilled the hopes of fresh new coach Lothar Matthaeus for a confident win.

Bulgaria is scheduled to play one more friendly before the end of the year, probably with Belarus or Serbia.
