The Bulgarian parliament member approved on Thursday the final version and changes of the country's Labor Code.
One of the changes provides that fathers, who wish to do so, would be able to take a 15-day paid leave from work after the bird of their child. Employers, who fail to comply with the labor legislature would now face fines 10 times higher than the current ones.
An employer, who is found to not provide healthy and safe working conditions would have to pay between BGN 10,000 ans 15,000 in fines, while a repeat violation would bring fines between BGN 20,000 and 30,000. Employers would also be fined BGN 15,000 for each worker without a labor contract.
