Bulgaria is starting Wednesday a campaign for minimizing the risk of road accidents involving children and teenagers. The "Vacation. Protect Children's Lives on The Road" operation will continue throughout the summer holiday for school pupils. Road policemen will be extra vigilant at sites considered risky for the youngsters. The officers will also sanction the drivers who deprive the pedestrians of their right of way at the zebra crossings. Data has shown that the number of road accidents involving children is usually increasing during vacations.
