Bulgaria is placed at fourth place among the eight most popular as “second home” destinations for the British- being behind Spain, France and USA, and before Turkey, Cypress Greece and Italy. This says survey of “Government's Survey of English Housing”, quoted in an article in the British newspaper “Guardian”, says BGNES. Britishmen more and more yearn to settle at sunny and warm places, shows the survey. For ten years transbordering properties of the British citizens has increased with 300%. It is considered, that up to 2025 1.3. mln Britishman will live outside their country, says the article. Until a while ago, Spain and France were undoubted leaders among the places, Britishmen chose to buy property. However, now countries like Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Czech more and more attract their interest as a place to buy house. Cosy house and plenty of sun, that is what temptates the byers for domain outside their country.38% of them claim, they intend to spend their vacations there, or, even to migrate after their retirement. Most of them consider bying such property as an investition for them and their children. The autors of the survey, however, show, that quite often, dazzled of the warm climat, cheap life and easy access, the buyers miss to reckon the bills for bying and maintaining of the property, and the taxes for it, as well. The report says, that nowadays 2% of the Great Britain population owe real estates outside the country. The typical representatives of these 2% are either retired people, who migrate to live in their second home, or rich people at middle age, who buy the property to spend their vacations there, or as an investition, says the article.
