Latest communication technologies and business solutions on Bulgaria's telecommunication market in view of the upcoming EU accession are the key focus of Cisco Expo 2005 that got underway in Sofia on Wednesday. The two-day event was opened by Nikolay Vassilev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications of Bulgaria and brought together more than 800 visitors - managers of medium-sized and big companies, IT specialists, state officials, journalists and partners of Cisco Systems. Implementation of new technologies in the field of education will also be on the agenda of the expo, which is organized for the third successive year by Cisco Systems, world's leader in Internet network solutions, and its Bulgarian partners at Kempinski Hotel Zografski. "Business transformation with the intelligent information network" and "Economic growth through broadband adoption" were the topics presented by the special guests at the opening of the conference Michael Ganser, Vice President, Cisco Systems CEE, and Geraint Anderson, Vice President, Service Provider Wireline, Cisco Systems EMEA. "Following the success of the first conference Cisco Systems faced a major challenge - to turn the initiative into a tradition and continue to meet the rising demands and expectations of the market and our clients," said Petar Ivanov, Cisco Bulgaria CEO. The program of the conference consists of four main parallel sections - Business track, SP Services for Enterprise customers track, SE track for first level and for beginners.
