Bulgaria's Administrative Court (BAC) okayed on Thursday the granting of the 35-year concession of Bulgaria's two main Black Sea airports at Varna and Burgas to Copenhagen Airports of Denmark.
BAC held a meeting over the lawsuit filed by two of outcast bidders - Fraport AG and Vinci Airports. The two outcast bidders are demanding that the court proclaimed the concession granting as an illegal act.
The German and French airports, along with a German-Bulgarian consortium led by construction firm Hochtief, have taken part in the concession tender to operate the terminals at Varna and Burgas. Eventually, the 35-year concession was granted to Denmark's Copenhagen Airports and the deal is pending on official signature.
The magistrates also ruled that the Cabinet and the Transport Ministry should present the concession documentation.
The hearing is to take place on June 16.
