There is a considerable influx of investors willing to build up holiday villages in the valley in-between Balchik and Albena seaside resorts. Balchik's Mayor Krassimir Mikhailov reported that over 35 applications for developing resort activities in the lands of the seaside resorts Kranevo, Rogachevo and Oborishte have been filed. The entrepreneurs are mostly joint German-Bulgarian or Russian-Bulgarian or British-Bulgarian ventures. The increased interest in the local real estate market has led to a hike in the prices of the the building sites nearby Albena and Balchik.
