Gaddafi Hiding Near Algeria Border - Report Libya's toppled dictator Muammar Gaddafi is reportedly hiding in Libya's southern desert, possibly in a vast area near the Algerian border.
The fugitive leader is under the protection of the ethnic Tuareg group, a revolutionary command spokesman has claimed, as cited by Daily Mail.
"We do believe that he is somewhere in that region and we do know that Tuaregs are supporting him, probably because he's paying them," he is cited as saying.
Sirte, one of the last bastions of support for Gaddafi, is encircled by forces of Libya's ruling National Transitional Council (NTC) and under bombardment from NATO warplanes. |
