A total of 10,500 people danced together holding hands in front of the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in the Bulgarian capital on the second day of the Easter holidays.
The number of the participants is big enough to enter the Guinness World Records, according to the event's organisers.
The chain-like horo-dance lasted for 30 minutes under the sounds of Bulgarian traditional music. It was led by the Bulgarian Parliamentary Spokesman Borislav Velikov.
Among the participants was also the President Georgi Parvanov.
Around 19:30 pm local time it will became clear if the attempt was successful and if the traditional dance will enter the Guinness book. |
